I don't really have anything to say I just thought I'd make a post. I'm bored. I could be doing a zillion things or should I say I should be doing a zillion chores but there are too many people in my house to make a start. So I was checking the other blogs that I like to read and notice they all have lives and haven't written anything new since the last time I checked.
Oh, I do have a story about the neighbours. There was a police car outside their house today. In the year and a half since they have lived next door they have had the police at their house numerous times and an ambulance at least three times. So there is always something going on there but not in a good way.
My husband was outside and thought something was said about the dogs so it may be about one of their big dogs. Let me tell you a bit about these people. They bought the run down house next door that had been a rental since we moved here almost 14 years ago. The last renters were a older mentally challenged couple and in the basement lived a schizophrenic guy. Anyway, they moved into the house in the dead of winter and we didn't hear or see much from them. They have a boy the same as my daughter who ended up in her class but she wasn't impressed by him. Seems he's a bit of trouble. They have an older son who goes to the local high school.
The first thing we noticed about them was that no one seemed to scoop up the dog poop. Their yard is 3 feet from our house and the yards are all small like 50" by 100" so decomposing dog feces is not a good thing so close to one's windows. Then there was all the junk they left outside. It looked like a junk yard.
My husband who's always lurking around outside talked to the neighbour and found out he had MS and didn't work. His wife has fibromyalgia and didn't work either. They said they were also allowed to grow pot for medical reasons. What we observed was a man quite capable of working most days and in fact fixed up the inside of the house from all that he said. And the reason for the ambulance was that he was having seizures. Hmmm makes me wonder why he is still driving.
And there is the a/c they left outside uncovered all winder under the snow. We were amazed the thing still worked this summer. Then they built a fence down the middle of their yard for the dogs he said. To keep the dogs from charging the front gate when people came to visit. Well that would make sense if they had closed the end of the fence off with a gate and the fence wasn't made of old pallets. I've witnessed one of the dogs happily chomping on blocks of wood. Plus the dogs could easily get under the fence. What we think he put the fence up for was to hide all the junk in his yard. Yes this guy built a fence down the middle of his yard and used wooden pallets so that he could continue to pile junk in his yard unseen from the street. He's not hiding it from us unfortunately.
Oh, and another joy of being their neighbours is that their clothesline runs right past our kitchen window. It's a long clothesline and they could send their clothes up the line a bit so as not to block our view but they don't. What's real shocking is not that we get to see laundry 2 feet from our kitchen window but we also get a full view of thongs and bras. Wouldn't it be better to hang one's dainties up inside? One would think so but not these people they hang them out in all their glory. At least it's not like one old pair of renters where the woman would hang the man's incontinence pads and stained underwear up right in front of our window.
I'd like to think of some evil way to get back at them but I just don't have the heart for it. I just want to move somewhere where the neighbours are far enough away as not to bother me and the house is big enough where my family doesn't but the heck out of me. LOL!
